We’re looking for passionate and skilled professionals to join the False Accounts production team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a powerful and dynamic play, with multiple performances at renowned venues.

Featured Roles Available to Apply For:

🎭 Hair & Make-Up Artist

  • Responsible for designing and executing hair and make-up looks for the cast.

  • Must be experienced in stage make-up and able to create versatile looks for multiple roles.

🔧 Stage & Props Manager

  • Oversees stage setup, scene changes, and prop organisation.

  • Ensures all props are accounted for and in working order for each performance.

💡 Technical Manager

  • Designs and operates the lighting, sfx and music for the production, creating mood and atmosphere.

  • Experience in theatrical lighting sound design and operation is essential.

CASTING CALL: False Accounts

Join the Cast of False Accounts!

We’re looking for 14 talented and passionate actors to bring the powerful story of False Accounts to life. This is a paid opportunity to perform in a dynamic and impactful play with multiple performances at renowned venues.

 

Featured Roles Available to Apply For:

ACTOR 1 – Narrator / Young Villager

Age Range: Flexible (must feel youthful)
Brief Description & Personality Traits:

  • A child of one of the postmasters, opening and closing the play with emotionally powerful speeches.

  • Expressive and engaging, must be able to hold the audience’s attention.

  • A key emotional anchor, showing the impact of the scandal on families.
    Accent (if applicable): Flexible; ideally matches the actor’s background.
    Key Role in the Story: Provides an emotional connection for the audience.
    Ethnicity, Gender: Any ethnicity, any gender.
    Compensation: Paid.

ACTOR 2 – Boeing Manager / Fujitsu Boss / Fed 3 / Helpline 3 / Belinda Crowe

Age Range: Flexible
Brief Description & Personality Traits:

  • Arrogant, entitled, and ruthless. Embodies corporate corruption and failure.

  • Belinda Crowe may be played by a man in a wig with a high-pitched voice (as in previous productions).

  • Must have a strong presence and excellent comedic timing.
    Accent (if applicable): RP or Corporate Neutral.
    Key Role in the Story: Represents the elite corporate villains.

ACTOR 3 – Auditor 1 / Chris Aujard

Age Range: Flexible

  • Slimy, patronising, and deceptive. Aujard is educated but morally corrupt.

  • Must be distinct from Auditor 2 in voice and mannerisms.
    Accent (if applicable): RP or upper-middle-class English (ability to also do Cockney is a plus).
    Key Role in the Story: Represents legal and financial fraud. Also doubles as an in-character usher.

ACTOR 4 – Auditor 2 / John Scott / Gareth Jenkins / Max Penalty / Judge

  • Gareth Jenkins should now be played as a soft-spoken, nervous, nerdy type.

  • Other roles require a different energy—John Scott is a cockney conman, over-the-top and shady.

  • Judge is a voice role in Act 2, adding gravitas.
    Accent (if applicable): Cockney or working-class for Scott; softer, hesitant voice for Jenkins.
    Key Role in the Story: Another side of corporate fraud; contrasts with Auditor 1.

ACTOR 10 – Postmaster 3 / Ian Henderson

  • Should be a believable father to the Narrator.
